The wooden structure will cover an area of 1000 square meters, and will be composed of the ground floor, including function hall, a stage and cafeteria as well as an exposition floor and two viewing platforms. During the city festival, which will take place from June 17 until September 27, 2015, the pavilion will serve as central meeting point and will be used for different events.

The lattice structure references the layout of baroque cities by transposing the urban grid as a 3D field of lines across several layers. While Mayer H. and Partner will be in charge of the design of the pavilion, Rubner Holzbau will provide all the construction material and oversee the construction, already under way. The pavilion is expected to be completed by end of April.
