The kindergarten is located in Tân Định ward, one of the District 1 subdivisions in Sài Gòn, Vietnam. The architects approached the conversion by expanding and contracting the volume of the existing house while complying with the house’s structural elements. Programmatically flexible, these new spaces can be used as private rooms and larger public spaces for events and celebrations.

The diverse small spaces stimulate and encourage children to explore their environment and discover worlds outside of their designated areas. These spaces offer a sense of safety and freedom at the same time, combining educational practices with fun. The interiors are dominated by the color yellow and natural materials.
