The metal gray slide adds an unexpected element of fun into the modern apartment as well as a quick way to zip down from the landing area of the second floor to the downstairs living room. To soften the slide’s industrial appearance, the designers added a tall vertical garden directly opposite of the slide. Other natural materials, such as wooden surfaces and white-painted brick, also help give the apartment its cozy appearance. The warm tones are balanced by black and cool gray accents that match the slide.

The communal areas, including the kitchen, dining room, and living room, are located on the lower level. Large windows let in ample natural light that reflect off white-painted surfaces. A set of floating stairs leads up to the second floor, where the entrance of the slide, home office, two bedrooms, and a bathroom are located. A hexagonal theme can be found throughout the house, and is used as the shape of the mirrors, bathroom tiles, and kitchen backsplash tile.
