The people at Tentsile weren’t looking to create a new tent. After all, they already had a crazy good range of suspended tents. But after a particularly vivid daydream involving a flower-like home in the trees, the pioneering multiple-story Vista tent was born. The Vista is basically a multi-level tent treehouse in the sky that is endlessly flexible and kind of brilliant.
The main tent comes with three layers: the roof, a mesh layer and the floor. To that, you can add extra floors to accommodate the whole troop and all their stuff. The tent is ideal for a hot, tropical environment because the sides of the tent remain open, giving you maximum ventilation through the bug mesh. It’s probably not so ideal for chilly camping, however, since mesh doesn’t block much wind.
Built on a hammock/tent hybrid design, the tent needs just three anchor points and comes with a removable roof so you can indulge in a truly outdoor experience. The basic set-up weighs just 19 pounds and measures 10x10x24-inches. You access the tent via a floor hatch, which make it seem even more like a treehouse. You might even want to devise a secret password to keep out unwelcome guests.
