Max Loughan is only thirteen years old, but he and his twin brother have already devoted themselves to “bringing new technologies for social change” with experiments that are turning heads. In his latest project, Loughan created an energy-harvesting device made from a coffee can, wire, coils, and a spoon. The gadget cost less than fifteen dollars to make and turns radio waves, static energy, and thermal energy into electricity.
