To keep the monthlong project flowing in an organized, efficient manner, Dailey had the cabinets constructed off-site during the demolition and the plumbing and electrical rough-ins. “The key was getting all the orders in line so that the design elements weren’t holding anything up,” she says.

She says the vintage boucherouite rug was a major find. “In a high-traffic kitchen a rug can be impractical, but here it just works.”
